Comment: I always think of this as Billy's 2nd car, with the
little Mustang being first in 1975, and this Gremlin being run during the
1976 season, mainly in the sportsman division. (Billy actually had a
little Falcon that he ran a handful of times in 1974 at Nazareth.) I put the picture of the Weld #91 under the picture of Billy's Gremlin. When the Gremlin was being built, Billy's favorite car at the time was this particular Weld car, with this paint/lettering scheme. With the two pictures together, you can see that Billy made sure that his #15 reflected some of the same style. |
