Comments: | Comment: Charlie Gunther on the gas through turn #1 at East Windsor Speedway in this Corvair bodied Burnett racer. Now that I think about it, when Charlie ran sportsman, I don't think I ever saw him in anything other than a Corvair. At some point in the 90's, pretty sure Charlie drove a Late Model at East Windsor (maybe #M80?), but when I think Charlie Gunther, I always picture him behind the wheel of a Corvair. |

I remember Charlie first running a black Falcon #307 at the same time Fred DeGroot ran a #305 Falcon. Late sixties. |
04.16.20 | 3Wide | Thanks Mark for the info Mark. I remember asking Charlie about the #307, and I think his response was something like there were a lot of cars in the area that were in the low 300s' (McCaughey #301,Dmuchowski #303, DeGroot 305, so "#307" seemed to be a good choice to him. |
