Comments: Comment:  Pee Wee put a lot of fans in the stands in the mid /late 60's, and even into the very early 70's....  Nobody was neutral when it came to Pee Wee and his little red coupe...  You either rooted for him, or rooted against him... but everyone took notice when he was on the track as you never knew what might happen next...

It took me a long time to forgive Pee Wee for the Joe Kelly incident at EWS 1968ish.  I have yet to forgive Joe Severage for the Bodine incident that occurred at the Wall Stadium All Star Race (1970?)

08.27.23 3Wide I wasn't at Wall for the Severage/Bodine deal, but I do remember a Sunday afternoon at East Windsor and an incident with Pee Wee and Kelly...  I think on the backstretch/maybe Pee Wee coming out of the pit exit onto the track into Kelly?... (I can't remember the details - I was probably 7 years old at the time....  I just remember that a lot of folks didn't like what Pee Wee did to "Gentleman Joe Kelly." and after that, there were a lot more Joe Kelly fans, and a few less Pee Wee fans.)
