Comment: Kerry Schloder #K46 in the pits at Flemington.
Other versions of the #K46 through the years were a Valiant body, a coupe
body (former orange #12 built/driven by Gil Hearne), a Gremlin body, and
then a Vega bodied racer. Driver's of the # K46 cars over the years
were Phil Meisner, Al Tasnady, Mike Grbac, Bob Pickell, Kerry Schloder, and
I'm sure a few others.
Pretty sure all of the #K46 racers were lettered by Tom Baches, which had that unique style/shadow as found on the Piscopo #39, George Taylor owned #93, Jim Fodor owned #13, Fred Menschner/Ray Neary #21, Carberry #47, and others from the Trenton NJ/Morrisville PA area race teams of the 60's & 70's. |

I dare to say that this was Kerry's and his father's best looking Dirt Modified but it was his least successful mount. I recall later on in his racing career that he campaigned an immaculate (possibly Troyer?) built Asphalt Modified at Wall and New Egypt. |
