03/11/04 Kevin B Ya gotta like the ? on Jimmy's hood, It must have kept them quessing! Thanks Ace,   Kevin Budden..
04/28/04 Walter Don't know about Bobby Pic in this car but do remember him in a gremlin version of  the # 43 even before the #80 or his #300      WP
05/02/04 Joe Meshach Notice Van Horn's car right beside this one. The 71e was always a favorite too!
08/21/04 Bucky Stevens This was the original pygmy car.  Bob Pickell and Sammy both drove it as a modified.  I believe Jimmy was running it as a sportsman at the time with that   hood.  He also had a magneto which was skirting the rules.   Since his integrity with regards to the whole deal was questioned a question mark was added to the hood.  This was also one of the first low cars.  Pickell was uncomfortable in it due to vision.
12/02/05 George Thode This is the first car Jimmy III started building when he was 16 in '72.   It was a Tobias kit car, you weld it yourself. Jimmy started to race it in '73 at Nazereth, after knocking down Jerry Fried's light pole and getting T boned by Jay Beers he had to give up the car to his dad because Jim's Mod was totaled and they finished off '73 with this car.

One time when Jim went on vacation, Jimmy, underage, towed it to Flem and got Ploski to run it, I believe he got 2nd that night, unbelivable.

In '74 he couldn't run Flem because he was underage, Jimmy decided to run Middletown and Nazereth, and his dad was running Sammy at Flem, and E Windsor. Me and Jimmy ran the 2 tracks and he won the track sportsman title at BOTH tracks.

This pic is of us parked at Middletown. Not sure of the "454" on the hood, might have been when we ran the Eastern States that year, he had a 454 plus in it when he moved up to Mods....How do I know all of this? because I was his pit crew and towed him everywhere those
years.....George Thode
