| Comments: | This is one of my all time favorite little coupes. It was campaigned in the early to mid 70's at East Windsor and at Flemington. The silver and black color combination, with it's black roof and silver wheels is one that has stuck with me for many years and I noticed that Johnny Leach often used this same combination on his cars as well. I can remember painting the wheels silver on my 64 Chevy II that I bought when I was 12 to drive around the fields by my house because I thought it looked so cool on the #99. |

| 04/09/04 | 3-Wide (help from Mark Yaple) | We also learned that this car was later painted orange and campaigned as a Modified around 1975. I remember this as being one of the coolest rides at the time and can still remember the night when Dave and Les Katona were side by side coming though turn 1 at Flemington with both cars making contact between 1 & 2 with the #99 ending up on his roof.... I've also been told that because of Dave's assistance, this number and color combination was used by Johnny Leach and is still used today by Leach Racing. |
