Comments: | I didn't get to Wall Stadium too often when I was a kid, but
when I did, Parker often won. The Tom Skinner owned #659 was easy to notice on the
track with it's clean appearance, unique sound and ease at which Parker seemed to glide
around the speedway. Parker recently said that the car was fast, but it handled
really, really well and that in order to be fast you had to have a good handleing racecar.
Seem to remember him telling me that they used springs off a 62 Chevy truck to help
find the handle on the #659.... Parker can now be found working hard in the pits at
Wall Stadium selling tires each Saturday night. If you ever get a chance to say hello to Parker, you'll find out why he was and still is the favorite of many! |
