Comments: | Here's Craig McCaughey in a unique looking little coupe. I don't ever remember another coupe looking like this one. Kinda had real big side windows... Parked next to Craig is the #92 Harry Taylor Pinto that somehow survived the decades and can now be found being driven by Craig Ford on the Vintage circuit |

11/30/04 | John Mc | This is from 1974.....It was a '41 Ford coupe, and the only other one I
remember like it was a # 45 that ran at Nazareth (Drew Smolenyak). I never really liked
this car, and I think I pissed the old man off when I said so (I was fresh into my teens
and hadn't learned much tact yet!). The following year this car had a sedan body, then it
went to Billy Carver for his first rookie car. If you look closely over the back window, you'll see the name "Fleming's Auto Parts". Know him? Harry Fleming was a great guy to the racers, the best! Hope he doesn't end that Pumpkin Run, I gotta get down there. BTW, this car never really worked right at Flem, but he did win w/ it @ Naz & EWS. |
04/18/07 | Bucky | This is one of my favorite cars. John, I do miss your dad. He was one of the leading characters in the area, along with Sammy and Mike Grbac. When I needed a ride he would pick me up and I still remember him for his kindness. I also remember this car running well usually in the top ten. Your dad usually said some things unkind things about its handling at Flemington. |
07.11.09 | Willie & Barb | hey john remember your dad drove that body with a small block ford after that I don't known what happen to the body |
