Comments: | Here's a picture that captures the on track action at
Harmony along with the big hill in the background. We're not sure of the spinning
car and the mud covered coach, but that Bobby Bottcher in the #666. In 1971, Bobby
had a total of 5 feature wins at the speedway according to info compiled by Harmony
Historian and Vault Contributor Greg Collins. Unfortunately, I never made to Harmony while it was in operation, but I did take a ride up to where the track was located, and I found the hill, but was really unable to see the remains of the speedway due to the weeds that have taken over. Old photos show that the spectator seating went right up the side of the hill. (For some additional information about Harmony Speedway, be sure to click on our "Harmony Memories" Section. |

12/30/04 | Warren | I believe the spinning car is the 125 of Dave Pace. The white coach is the
#14 of Bob Toreky. I had the pleasure of attending many races at Harmony, including the very first, when Will Cagle took a hard flip on the backstretch. It all seems, and was, so long ago now. Thanks,Warren |
01/13/05 | JIM YOUNG | Possibly the spinning car might be Lee Sofield (#18 I think) who always ran that inverted Mirror on the roof. |
01/13/05 | 3-Wide | Is that what that is??? I thought is was a taxi! I don't think I ever saw a car with anything like that before! |
