Bill Hanna |
Jim Wismer Sr. was one of the nicest guys in racing and was part of the
rich Sportsman tradition at Flemington in the 70's, before Paul Kuhl instituted the 3 win
rule. He also ran occasionally at Nazareth, but you could always count on him at
Flemington. His son became a sucussful late model driver at Flemington once it was paved
and kept the colors and car number in the family. |

JIM WISMER WAS ALWAYS CONSISTANT WHEN HE RAN STEADILY AT FLEMINGTON AND
NAZARETH WITH 3 WINS AT THOSE 2 TRACKS IN HIS CAREER BUT HE WAS SENSATIONAL AT HARMONY
WITH MANY WINS AND 3 (I THINK) CHAMPIONSHIPS. HE LOVED THAT TRACK. HE WAS AT HIS PEAK WITH
A 2-CAR TEAM WHEN HE GOT SICK AND HAD TO RETIRE IN THE MID-SEVENTIES! |
