01/01/06 Tommy Kosch That photo is at OCFS.
01/01/06 Wayne Urffer Wow! This is instantly one of my favorite Vault photos! I agree with you, this car is too pretty to drive on dirt! Perhaps Wayne was racing on asphalt, as the tires look kinda slick.
01/07/06 jerry h kinda might maybe wall stadium? poss geo mcurdy inside of him? this car did run at wall i believe/kev newman would know!
02/01/06 Kevin Newman yeah that's WALL ...Wayne kinda showed up all of the sudden after many years on DIRT...dunno the #99 next to Wayne but looks like Bob Rossell lined up   behind (red Vega)...Wayne drove this car several times at Wall before selling it to Howard Harvey, who hired Tommie Elliott to chauffer the car as an Orange #4...Wayne then drove a late model (Pinto) I think a Blair built car #2 ...
05/18/06 Herb Hoskins That is without a doubt OCFS just look at the lights and the fence, Wall does not have a fence like that!
09/01/06 Mike This is deffinetly not O.C.F.S., I will explain... If you zoom in on all the tires they are all slicks. Another reason its not O.C.F.S. is because since the track was called Orange County, they never went on the track like that or lined up that way!! Its also not the track in question becaus if indeed it was O.C.F.S. you would see the funky fair lights that were working until the early 80's. Come on, I know you all have seen them... the funky stained glass looking lights that are yellow, red, blue and green. Another fine reason that its not O.C.F.S. is there were never trees that high next to the turn 3-4 walls especially in between those turns where the cars came onto the speedway in-field. Its either Wall or another asphalt speedway.....
10/13/06 Jason Just to let you know I wrote the comment at my friend mikes house and forgot to leave a name, looking at your site about a month ago, but i would like to know why my cousin thinks its O.C.F.S.   I've looked at this picture for a long time and still think its not O.C.F.S. I'm curious why Tommy says its so.   I think its asphalt under the car too smooth for any year of compitition at O.C.FS. Jason Kosch c/o Fastrak Motorsports
10/14/06 Tommy Kosch Sorry guy's that isn't WALL. Look through the windows of the 99 and you can see the cars coming off turn 4.

This is OCFS. The light poles that my cousin mentions are there just outside the fourth turn gate in the backround. If you look at othe photos of other cars in the same area you can see the same backdrop. The cars used to enter and stage right on the front stretch. Been going to OCFS since 1970 and I'm positive that this was taken there. I don't know why there are pavement tires on the car. Maybe its just the exposer and there really are treaded tires on it.
