01/19/06 Scott. Mark told me about this picture. I love the angle that it was taken at. Plus, there aren't that many good pictures of the Pinto around. This is a great picture.
01/20/06 Mark Bullock A great shot of two great men in northeast dirt modified racing! Taken at Flemington in early 1974, it shows Gerald with his car owner, my dad, Joseph Bullock.

1974 would be the first of two Flemington Modified Championships for the two of them, the other coming in 1976.    Just a great shot, at a great speedway, of a owner and his driver.
01/20/06 3-Wide Thanks for the comment on the photo above Mark.  It is a great photo and it really represents when everything was right with the sport....
01/22/06 Frank Miller This a cool shot. Look at the carboard FORD on the wire mesh to help keep the dirt out. Back in those days thay made alot of parts and things like mud and rock guards from scratch NO 2 parts were the same. That was way before the CNC machines thay use today .I like today's mods but there was nothing like going into the pits as a young guy 17 back then and seeing all those hand built cars I remember it like it was yesterday.
09.09.12 John Wagner This was the car that replaced my favorite.  I loved the 76 coupe and gerry was a big winner @ reading with it.  I remember the first time I saw the pinto.  There was a rained-out feature raced before the regular show @ reading.  Gerry drove the coupe in the rained out race, and as I remember he won.  Then brought out the pinto for the "regular" show, and I believe that it broke.
