from Eric: My father worked with Al on his race car in the early and mid
70's. Unfortunately Al passed away after a motorcycle accident in I believe the early
80's. Al was one of the hard workers who loved racing but never could quite find the right combination. It was drivers like Al who helped make Modified racing as great as it was in the 70's. I have attached two pictures that will hopefully get posted. The first is the #705 Pinto that was mentioned racing at Flemington in 73 or 74. The second is Al in a Black Gremlin #75 at Nazareth in 1975. |
