from Rob: This car was owned by Allen Nau and driven by Bob Finger
during the 70s. The engine was built by Ron Buck. We think this photo is
from 1970, the year my dad drove as the alternate driver on the Wall Stadium All Star
League team alongside Gil Hearne and Bob Rossell. This is the car he used on the asphalt tracks. My dad raced 9 of the 13 All Star League events that year, and he raced many other nights at tracks throughout the region. I have the papers listing the final point standings for the All Star League that year. Maynard Troyer was 1st, Bob Rossell was 6th, Gil Hearne was 17th, and my dad finished the season 25th. The Wall Stadium team finished out the year 4th overall behind Lancaster, Orange Co. and Catamount. |

08/01/06 | Kevin Newman | ...the thing I remember 'bout this car was the COOL psychedelic pink
swirls on the inside of the number...the car had a "certain style" as did the driver...glad to see him again!!! |
