| 10/23/06 | Bill Ore | I never got to see Ray race up here, but he was another of the Richmond, Va. area drivers who would come up to Old Dominion when I lived in Northern Va in the 70's. At that time, he drove a white and red Nova LMS, also the flying 11 and came up for the bigger purse races. He was always a top contender. I got to see a lot of good talent there, including Sonny Hutchins, Lennie Pond, Bill Dennis, and a few others I could probably remember with a little prodding. |
