from Hank: This is Bob Pickell in 1972 at Flemington. The photo
is by Ace Lane Sr. Bob built this car himself I believe. After a 100 lapper at Flemington in this very car, Bob offered to pay my admission, when I told him i scored for him. I refused the money cause I felt it was a privilege. It's too bad someone hasn't interviewed Bob, taken the stories and written a book about his career. He raced in four decades. Always willing to provide. |
