from Steve: Bob Malzahn and I worked together at Newton Speed in Sussex, NJ
and we did a "trade". I completely rebuilt one of his #99's that he ran in the
mid 70's and have attached a photo (above) of what it looked like just before I sold it
back in 81. Since I did not have a lot of cash to buy fuel/tires etc., I was more into building than driving during that time frame. Previous to that I had a sportsman coup that I ran at Flemington a few times. I was attending college for Mechanical Engineering and could no longer support my passion - I wish I still had the car, my kids would love it! Regards, Steve Peterson |
