05/10/08 | Mike Serden | WHO IS THE GUY IN THE ORANGE, HE KIND OF LOOKS LIKE RICHIE EVANS? |
05/10/08 | 3Wide | Pretty sure its Mike Jablonski who drove the #33 sportsman and later drove a sprint car. |
05/11/08 | Bill Walker | Joe, that is "Million Dollar Mike" for sure. He was another of the Central Jersey Welding faithful. When he went sprint car racing he sold his car to Freddy Loesch for his rookie car. |
05/11/08 | Steve Cameron | Yes, that is Mike talking to Phil Horner (that's Phil's 21H behind them). Fred, Butch Davis and I built this car at Butch's Thorofare NJ home during the winter of '73-'74. His garage was only a stones throw away from Budd Olsen's house. The K&M Engineering on the fender referred to Kennedy (Fred) & McCullough (Bob). While always a little short on power, this car handled like it was on rails. Fred excelled in the early heats when the track was still wet, when no one could get their power to the racetrack. Once the track dried out, it was lights out. |
