| Comments: | Even though it says Craig McCaughey above the door, that guy behind the wheel looks a lot smaller than Craig, so we're betting that this picture was taken late in the 1973 season when Al was still running his #292 Coupe, but was also taking a few rides behind the wheel of Matt McMann's #4 sedan. The following year Al would drive for McMann for the first few weeks in a purple #4 Gremlin which was this exact car with a new body. The body of this car was put on a brand new chassis that Al built from scratch which became the #292 dark blue sedan with a white roof that those who are fans of this site should be pretty familiar with as it appears in various places throughout The Vault. |
