01.26.09 | John McCaughey | Probably the best looking Corvair ever....nice lines, roof, hood & doors line up....clean & neat paint job....I always liked this car.... |
01.26.09 | The Barz Family | Always my favorite at Reading. And this kind of looks like Reading with the concrete wall and corrugated fence above it? |
01.26.09 | 3-Wide | Could be Reading... The photo wasn't marked and when I saw the tin, I thought "Nazareth". |
01.27.09 | 3-Wide | You guys are right. It is Reading. Wayne Heiserman (provider of the photo) had it marked on the back of the photo, but when I saw the corrugated tin in the background I automatically labeled it as being Nazareth. |
01.28.09 | Barry Miller | One of my all-time favorite Corvairs and drivers. Bobby always raced you clean and even though he did not win a lot he was always up front. He won the Freedom 76 with this car in '78 with a small block in it. This picture is at Reading between turns 3 & 4, thanks for sharing it Wayne. |
02.02.09 | Charlie Miller | I agree with John and Barry , the nicest looking Corvair of all times . Yes this photo is Reading where Bobby surprised me by being number 6 on the all time top ten list at Reading ! |
02.07.09 | Dom Ragno | Bobby Hauer did run this car at Nazareth. We ran with with Del George driving my J&J powered modified #87. |
08.04.11 | Joe Heiser | He raced at Nazareth in the spring of 1977 when Reading only ran on Friday night until about June. He also won a feature the second race of that season. Was definitely was one of the fastest cars there. |
