| Comments: | Not sure who was driving the #901 this day, but many have driven the powerful Bill Hewlett owned #901 through the years. Somewhere in the Vault we have a photo of Tom Eppolite behind the wheel of a #901 Vega from the early 70's, and Jimmy Horton and Richie Pratt Jr have been behind the wheel in this decade, so for many of us, seeing the #901 on the track has a lot of history. |

| 02.08.09 | Joe Crisefi | Wow! I can still smell that bright Yellow DuPont Imron in my
Dad's garage. I remember the night he painted it. I have been hoping to see
a picture of this car since I been on here....about 3 years now. Haven't
seen this car for 30 years but the memories live on. Not sure who drove at
Flemington, but I do remember a Ron Tobias driving for Bill at Bridgeport.
I'm sure my father would love seeing his work again after all these years on
this great site. He painted the Maroon Vega also. Bill and my Dad were good
friends. I think it is so great that there is a site like this to take us back to a time when racing was simple, enjoyable and exciting. Thanks 3wide!! |
