04.04.09 | Walter Onora | I am not sure, but I think this particular modified was once a King Chevrolet mount, owned by the Scarmadela's out of Staten Island. Larry was a very steady driver, "back in the day" |
04.04.09 | Kevin Mc | You can see the old EWS 1/4 mile inner oval very well in this shot I never realized that they had sunk tires around the inside of that track too. I dont recall when or why they stopped using the little track at EWS |
04.04.09 | Tom Berry | This car was the maroon 1 Beavers /Burnett car run by Sammy at Langhorne, which was original the Ploski #27. |
04.06.09 | Jack Kromer | Didn't know that was the Burnett/Beavers #1car. Cool. I remember seeing that Beavers car at Nazareth National in 1970 or 71. |
04.07.09 | Mike Stevens | Larry was truly a gentlemen. He was a farmer and hobby
racer, one of the many in the day who raced for love of the sport. Nobody
filled fields in those days, but he was a consistent second ten driver. No
insult intended, he ran what he could afford and gave his best. He was out
there having fun. I always remember his smile and gentle nature. A very nice man and one who should be remembered fondly. |
