Comments: With the strong support that still remains in the Northwest part of NJ and the Northeast part of PA, you wonder if Harmony had somehow survived the 70's... would it be able to survive today?  Last I heard, the site was bought by a chemical company and has sat vacant for over 35 years.

....I guess we'll never know as times have changed...  People are too busy...  and someday, only the hills will remember what once was.

04.19.09 Richard Coleman The site is all grown up in trees and fenced in but shows up really good on Google Earth. Bring up Brainards, New Jersey and creep the photo up toward the top of the screen until the word Brainards is about an inch from the top of the screen. The track will be in about the center of the photo. The dirt track is very evident through the trees. The drag strip is clearly visible and I think you can even tell where the paving starts and finishes.   What is left of the concrete stands is visible too. I seem to remember Carl Van Horn helped to get it going back when he was out of commission with heart damage from a wreck. IF you drive by on the ground You can still see some of the outer fence that hasn't rotted away.
