Comments: Comments from Skip:   I'm attaching two images of my first car, number 34, a black Corvair I ran at Reading and a few times at Bridgeport. In fact, I was at the very first Bridgeport race and came close to winning my heat. I crashed (of course). Hit a huge hole in the track that ripped the wheel out of my hands...

Anyway, the two images where both taken by Rusty Lesher (Red Lesher's nephew). Both were in the driveway of my chief mechanic's grandmother's garage in Temple, PA. My mechanic was Bobby Camilli. His dad was Mim Camilli who was the mechanic on the 43 cars in the late 60's/early 70s at Reading as well as the Sunoco 260 that Taz drove (I was on that pit crew).

The first is with the body up, a big mistake.....way too much extra weight.  That's Jim B., with the long dark hair, one of my pit crew back then and that's me in the green shirt. Wish I was still that thin:-) I used a Tobias 'kit' for the cage/chassis.

The second is with the body down and may have been taken after my very first race, which wasn't until very late in the season... I think the year was either 72 or 73...don't remember:-)
