| 09.29.09 | Tom G | I was announcing at Volusia Speedway Park (Florida) a few years back and was talking about the favorable track conditions and how the IMCA style modifieds were reminding me of the great battles waged at Flemington by the likes of Joe Hall, Ray Liss and Pete Madsen in the sportsman division......Then a big bearded gent stepped into the booth and I found myself interviewing Pete Madesen for the fans that night! I've been fortunate enough to enjoy Flemington during its best and through announcing I've been able to get to know the stars up close. Pete was a great driver and a really nice guy as are Joe Hall and Ray Liss. |
