Comments: This is exactly where I used to sit back in the 70's.  As I got a little older, I moved a little closer to the starter stand to try to lose a little of the dust, but this was an excellent view of the cars coming and going!  Check out the full pits, the fuel truck, the pace car...have a friend throw a little dust at you and you'll feel just like you're sittin' there!  Thanks for such a great picture.

11/05/03 JMGBILLS The 12 car looks like it may be Jack Johnson (not too sure) definitely the 125 of Hoffman and the 10 of Eurich. Great shot too!
11/05/03 Kevin McElvaine Hard to read cuz the photo is kinda grainy but it looks like BR DeWitt sponsorship on the side of the 12 car.  I'd bet money that's Jack Johnson.   Yes that's Eurich.
12/01/03 Mark Burd Nice shot of the fourth turn. I think both Hoffman and Johnson were running Olsen Chassis and Rich Eurich was running a Tobias Chassis
01/21/05 Mark Flamisch This can't be from '86, though, because the new DIRT 'wide' bodies that most of the cars are using weren't around that early. It would have to be '88 since Billy Pauch is still in the #126 in the first shot and he was in the Barker Bus #76 by 1989.  I'd guess these shots are from the Memorial Day Syracuse qualifier from '88 since it appears to be a bright sunny day, (and not a gray November day for the 200) and I believe Jack Johnson won that particular show in May of '88.
01/28/06 Mike Walther This is 1988. I helped Eurich back then and the car is a 1988 tobias. This was an experimental car.
