Is this a Troyer car?  I had moved from the NE when these cars came out but remember reading in NSSN about the radiator placement.  If I recall they used a shorter radiator which was wider (to compensate for the other dimension) and then placed it at an angle resulting in the novel hood.  I believe the idea was to lower the front end a little for better aero.  This is all 30+ year old memories so maybe I am out in left field.

Previously I had mentioned shock angle.  Look at the car, the shocks at vertical, the position they are most effective.  Note also they are as close to wheels as practical.  This setup results in a predictable car, one that if you change shock valving you know what you get is not affected by anything but the shock, making adjustments more science than art.

I just read that Keith Kauffman, at age 62, won at Hagarstown, MD.  I turned 59 Sunday past, maybe (with a little money) there remains hope for me.  The top five included Dewese and Rahmer, both in the 50s.  How 'bout us old farts?
