Comment: Here’s a driver who has always had racing
in his heart. I’m pretty sure that Dave got his start in the late 70’s or early 80’s in a Late Model (also #37) and then went on to have a solid run for years in his signature #37 racers. Stepping away from the driver’s seat (for the most part…) Dave has put his heart and soul into supporting short track racing with his efforts at Bridgeport Speedway for the last decade or so, and also with his racing themed car shows that help to promote the sport to a new audience. If Dave’s not working at a racetrack on a Saturday Night, you’ll see him at some other track somewhere… enjoying the show as a fan…. supporting the sport in some way…. And always looking for ways to make it better. Sometimes I think I spend too much time thinking about what can be done to help grow the sport…. And then I think about Dave who has absolutely dedicated himself to it and who never stops thinking about it... and never stops doing.... And that's a big difference... He is one of the most determined people I have ever met. |
