Comments: Not sure who is in the #0 in this shop, but this is one of those coupes that ran modifieds into the early 80's... might even be the last coupe to run modifieds at Flemington... I do know that Vault contributor Ricky Rutt drove this car for a while.

That's Bill Beasley in the #421.  Bill was a very consistent runner at Flemington whether in the #421 or in the #42 white coupe.

I got to meet Bill at the 2005 Motorsports show and got to tell him in person he was one of those guys that made Flemington such a unique show as it seemed that Flemington was the only place you could find Bill in the #42 coupe that I mentioned.

Bill did tell me that he ran EWS on occassion and one night in particular, he had the throttle stick on the #R10 as he entered a corner and hit the wall about as hard as anyone could.  He said he had just enough time to realize how bad it was going to be... and then it hit.  He somehow got out of the car and laid on the track until help arrived.  I don't think he broke anything but obviously was pretty sore for a while.

02/06/05 Kevin B The coupe looks to be handling better than the sheet metal car!! Kevin B.
02/06/05 3-Wide I don't know... could be that Bill might be doing the old "keep the revs up between 3 & 4 and pass 'em down the front move!"

This picture is really growing on me...  It's almost like the coupe is hangin' on for dear life as the approaching new style cars encroach.

02/06/05 Clint Bush zero car is Lou Hahn of Milford
02/10/05 Rick Shive The Zero (it's actually supposed to be the "Square Nut"), is Lew Hann, from Phillipsburg.  Lou Hahn from Milford drove the #3H, two different people with similar names, who raced about the same time, causing some confusion occasionally.

This may have been Buzzie's last coupe, previously, Ricky Rutt probably knows for sure.

02/10/05 Jeff McClung The 0 car is an ex Buzzie Reutimann car, it ran well for a while at the square.
02/10/05 Mark Burd I am pretty sure this car was a former Buzzie Reutimann 00.   I remember Lew Hahn driving the car.
03/02/05 Ricky Rutt This is Lewie Hann Jr.(spelled H-a-n-n) from Phillipsburg NJ. This is the last coupe Buzzie ever built. It was the only one w/ center steering. Buzzie never won with this car. This pic is from 1979 or 80.
03/02/04 3-Wide Sorry about that guys... I didn' notice that it was Hann instead of Hahn.   Did you ever drive this particular car Ricky?
