Comments: Comment from Kevin:  Here's a great view of the NSF back stretch. Looks like there getting ready to take the green! Notice the front row, THATS RIGHT, all Flemington front row!! Check Pauch out looks like he's trying to warm up the tires by swaying back and forth. See the fuel over flow?

04/07/06 Michael Messinger Great pic. This was my 1st year up to the 'Cuse. I was 14 and we set up scaffolding maybe another 100 feet up from where the photographer took
this shot. McCreadie won, DJ got a flat w/maybe 5 laps left and Pauch finished 2nd with no rubber left to challenge.

Best regards,
Michael Messinger
04/23/06 Troy Kline I too was there for this one, like Mike. McCreadie made up for 1985 when he tried the "stay out for halfway money and then try to win" strategy and fell short.
05/17/06 Ronald That was a mean looking car Pauch had that year. If I recall Pauch totally dominated this race. Bad stratagy cost him in the end.
12/06/08 BillyTheKid I don't think this is the year that "Barefoot" Bob won. Didn't he get his win when he brought out slant-nosed car for the first time? This #9 looks like the standard modified of the day, but you can be sure he had some tricks up his sleeve. Seems like every year he had some kind of off the wall design mod on his car.
