Comments: | Larry Kline behind the wheel of Trenton Mack's #74 Grant King Modified and Ken Brenn Jr. in his Grant King car which many feel was one of the best looking modifieds of the day. I don't know... I think they both look pretty cool and would love to see them out there just one more time! |

04/22/07 | Parker Camlan | This picture is from the 1980 season, because Larry Kline won the modified
track title at Flemingtonin the Trenton Mack 74, and Stan Ploski drove this same car to a
3rd place finish in points in 1981. Whatever happened to these cars? |
04/28/07 | Bill Hanna | I don't have the stats in front of me. But......... Larry Kline did drive this car to the Modified Track Championship in 1980 and finished in the TOP FIVE I believe 26 out of 30 races, simply an amazing year. I'll dig out my records and confirm this. |
05/05/07 | RedFred | I was lucky enough to crew on this car with Larry. The car was truly an amazing car and Larry did a super job driving it to the Championship with 4 wins along the way. Back in 1980, Flemington had something like 45-50 mods each week, so to just qualify for 30 races, actually I think it was 32 but Bill will confirm that, was a major feat let alone finish in the top 5 26 times. Just goes to show how good that car and driver really were. |
06/03/07 | J. Kline | The only damage I can remember to that car all year was during Fair Week when someone landed on Klines hood. |
