racing community was saddened at the loss of Chuck Carberry in the mid 80's. From
the well known racing family of the same name, Chuck was making his own name on the local
racing scene and was well on his way to becoming a standout driver at the time of his
sprint car accident at Jennerstown. Chuck's brother's Tom and Ken, along with Tom's son "Tommy", keep the racing tradition going by competing each week at the New Egypt Speedway, while father Tom Sr., who's been building and wrenching modifieds for around 50 years, can always be found working on one of their cars in the pits. |
