...another one of those "quiet" drivers who if you met him out of the car, you'd wonder if it was the same guy under the helmet! Once the helmet went on, all eyes were on Elvin! |

11.20.09 | Kevin Eckert | Back in 1980 when I worked the lap counter in East Windsor's first turn, I could've closed my eyes and identified Elvin Felty simply by the amount of mud that pelted the windows. He kicked it sideways a little sooner and jumped back in the gas long before the apex. |

Legendary, no doubt about it. Elvin mastered Penn National Speedway. there were times that he was unbeatable at the Grantville PA half mile. he continued to win there even in the tracks final year of operation. |
