I was checkin out some pix on the vault and the one of Billy Pauch in
Barney's 15.....the year is way off. 1990 Flemington was still dirt. the year this pic was
I think 1996 or 1997 that is when he came back to Flemington he ran 2 years 1 w/ Blewett
and 1 w/ Wolley... |

Yes the year is off its after 1992 maybe 93 or 94. Also yes the car was
owned by Dick Barney but Billy's teammate at the time was John Blewet III. The
pauch/brittan team didn't some along till they both hooked up with Dick Greenfield, and
Billy's ill fated NASCAR CTS ride. The Greenfeild team car numbers wee 05(pauch) and
05(brittan). Bud Flath |

Billy Pauch #15 in his only NASCAR Modified Series Nazareth start on
5/19/96. He finished 29th after starting 7th. His biggest asphalt win of course came in
the Mario Fiore #44 at the 1993 Flemington Race of Champions. Billy claimed over 120
features at Flemington alone, and reached the 500 career victories plateau around 5 years
ago. He won 10 Flemington titles: the Rookie title in 1975, the 1991 Sportsman title in
the first year for the pavement, and 8 Modified titles in 1979, 1981, and 1985-1990.....
Pete Brittain was actually in the #06 for the previous post. |
