| Comments: | Butch Green in Ken Onka's #12. What can you say... This thing was trick inside and out and I'm telling you, it would absolutely fly. The downfall tended to be longevity as Butch seemed to almost always jump out to a huge lead in the heat and/or feature only to have something break and cause him to pull in. But one thing is for sure; they knew he was there. |

| 07/28/06 | 3 Wide | We received word that car owner Ken Onka passed away today
(July 28th, 2006) and we wanted
to pass our condolences on to his family. Ken was involved in the local racing scene for many years. I think there is a picture somewhere in the Vault that shows a young Ken as part of the crew of an early Fred Dmuchowski effort. I'm pretty sure that Ken was from the Millstone (Somerset County) area and I think the Onka Bus Service business was located just before the bridges heading into Millstone on Route 514. Ken's cars were driven through the years by such drivers as Tom Capie, Frank Mangone, Jerry Tomarchio and Butch Green. I was fortunate enough to pit next to Ken and the #12 crew during the early 90's at East Windsor when driver Butch Green drove this unique little #12. The car was wickedly fast and had a lot of Ken's ingenuity embedded in it. Our condolences go out to the Onka Family. |

It is very comforting to see that so many of his racing friends remember him and acknowledge his passing away. I know that he will be sadly missed by his family and friends. |
