He is also an Automotive Technologies Instructor who has taught many young students what they needed to know to go on to have successful careers as technicians. I'm sure he's heard many time over, "Hey Mr. Crevelin... Can you bring your racecar in so that we can take turns behind the wheel!" |

| 01/02/06 | Tom Gray | I remember Al running with the AMSA mini stocks sporting the same color scheme on a home built car. If I remember correctly at Nazareth (the minis ran with the street stocks on Friday nights in the 70's) he had a problem with his home built center steering....it was a chain drive configuration to offset the steering around the motor.....I think the chain broke....He also ran a unique engine setup in the car. It wasn't a pinto engine but something like a VW or Porsche pancake motor... His cars were always unique. Al sported a beard and his dad was always wrenching on the car with him......He was a great guy and a big part of the reason I enjoyed my involvement with the mini stocks. |
| 01/07/07 | jlfriscia | Racing alongside of Alan is Jimmy Dolan in the Dolan/Thomas 69. Jimmy is a true racer, visiting tracks up and down the east coast. He has recentlly found a home with the True Value Modified Series. He has a big heart and is always willing to help his fellow racer! |
