Comments: Another great photo from Joe.  Really like the colors on this car.  Pretty sure that's Doug in there, but honestly, I'm more use to seeing the car yellow....

In addition to the great looking car, there's some other things that come to mind when looking at this photo.  First, for anybody who was in the pits at Windsor, you know that you were really "in the pits" for the night as Don Jones did not allow anyone to go back and forth from the pits to the spectator stands.  Because of that, pretty much everyone that was in the pits belonged to one of the raceteams, and to me, it created a different atmosphere than what I see at most of today's tracks.

Also, check out the guys in the background getting a birdseye view of what was probably modified heat race action as Doug and the #1A of Scott McLaren pull up to stage for the next event.

And finally, it looks like Doug is looking down to check his belts, and by doing so, I kinda get a strange feeling... It really shows how much movement can occur inside a racecar and why the need for a Hans Device or some other head and neck restraint system even for our local short track drivers.

12/26/08  Todd Lewis The second sharpest car that Hoffman ever drove (at EWS anyway) the sharpest he had at EWS was the Coors Extra Gold 60 over.
