Comment from Russ: Hart Broken! Jack Hart's broken 1 after a tangle with Joe Racz's 41 at Vineland Speedway. Note the camera being held by the photographer in the photo. Most of the established photographers of that period of time used these "large" portrait cameras, the same ones used for shooting weddings! They produced negatives which were 4" X 5" and were great for enlargements like this. New technology has replaced this but in my opinion, never "raised the bar" in clarity provided by these old black and whites! |

Definately not Jack Hart in the car, must be tow truck worker or crew. Looks like the car he bought from Bobby Allison #312 |

Russ -I think you are right , that is the car that Jack bought from Bobby and then ran as a sportsman. I have a good story about that car involving : Jack, Tommie Elliot, Bill MCarthy, Joe Racz, and my Dad, I'll have to get together with you sometime (Maybe OldBridge reunion or Pumpkin Run) or e-mail. |
