Comments: Comment:  Here's Budd behind the wheel of the #O at Harmony at some point in 1971.  The photo is from pre-September of that year, as this is the car that would become the first Ken Brenn Sr. owned #24 later in the year, with Stan Ploski behind the wheel.  The following year, the car would become Ken Brenn Jr's rookie sportsman car at Flemington.

Information provided for our "Harmony Memories" section provided to The Vault by Greg Collins (with support from Bill Braga and Steve Barrick) show Budd winning 3 features at Harmony in 1971.  Not sure if they were all with this car or not.

Bud won 3 Tri-State features in the Hildebrant-Ege 9 in the 71 season

09.25.17 3-Wide Greg Collins has the stats for Harmony - hopefully he'll see this and will be able to confirm.  We're about as sure as we can be that this is the car that became the first Brenn Sr. owned modified (near the end of '71), so not sure how long Bud drove this car if he was also driving the #9 too.  Thanks for the info.

Budd Olsen had a total of three career feature wins at Harmony, all coming in the 1971 season which was under the promotion of the Tri-State Owners group.  Hand written results I have from Bob Pickell Jr. indicate that Budd’s May 15th win was in his #0.  The race result article I have for his July 3rd win states “Olsen . . . has his new car out, equipped with a trailer-bar suspension set up and disc brakes.”  Perhaps this info can be confirmed via pictures of Budd’s 0 taken during the 1971 season when he ran the car, or pictures of the car immediately after it was sold to Mr. Brenn in late 1971.  Race result articles I have from his win on July 25th state “ . . . . driving the familiar number 0.”
