Comment from Mike: Photo was taken by me at Flemington in
1996. I was an AARN columnist at that time, and covered the events of the
day. This was on the same night that the Craftsman Truck Series was there. Pauch was scheduled to run a truck, but had broken his wrist, or fore arm in a sprint car event, and there was doubt about him being able to run 200 laps in the truck. He was well enough to wheel the Barney modified to victory in the companion 30 lap feature. |
