06.18.12 Gary LaFetra Note Don's "driving shoes". Those WERE the days.
06.19.12 Tim Weber Hey Man! Hope all is well. If you look at the "Elliot, Kremer and Bodine" picture on page 98a of the 70s, that was the same race. Bodine tore through the field and was leading, only to tangle with lapped traffic on the 4th turn on the last lap. The opportunistic Mr. Stives threaded his way through the wreck and came around for the win that night. I was there! What a night. Video of that event would have been priceless, with all the big names at Wall that evening. Bodine was on a rail; I'm sure Jerry Cook, Evans, Lazzaro, Malzahn, Cagle, Buzzie, Charlie J and everyone else was there only to have a local come through with a well deserved win. That little 29 coupe was awesome, small block and all. Thanks for letting me write!
06.25.12 Kevin Newman As fans, we used to call that car "the little coupe that could"...always an underdog, (under powered too, and no power steering) but Stive's kept it up-front!
