Comments: | Sometimes we forget how much craftsmanship went into building a racecar.... Just look at this beautiful Falcon... There were no kits... There was no "how to" manual... But the men from this era were amazingly talented and amazingly resourceful. My guess is at this time (late 60's) there were only a handful of Falcon bodied racers at the local speedway... Some had made their way onto the bigger tracks like Trenton and Langhorne, but at this time, it was still a sport dominated by coupes and sedans. |

A side note regarding Dick Lewis. He placed a early 60s Chevy C-10 pick up on mid 60s Thunderbird chassis. This truck was, in my opinion, the very first low rider ever built as it hugged the ground. Dick's Chevy pick-up and Bobby Pickell's Tornado (or Caddy) hauler were the 2 coolest pieces to ever tow a race car. |
