06.19.12 | Tom Berry | The #19A is possibly a former Fodor #13. Also see Bruce Tinsley orange Falcon #2 and Art Lawshe #59 |
06.19.12 | 3-Wide | I only recognized the #59 of Art Lawshe... but I also noticed a really cool looking Charger in the infield! |
06.19.12 | Tony Kilpatrick | That's a PETTY BLUE SUPERBIRD a very rare car today. |
06.20.12 | George Gwynn | I know I should be commenting on the Larry Bower's modified,
but the 1970 Petty Blue Superbird sighting is special. Could you imagine
what that car might be worth today, considering that back in February of
1970, (the year of this photo) Pete Hamilton won the Daytona 500 in a Petty
Blue Superbird. George Gwynn Frederick, MD |
06.21.12 | Jack Kromer | Wow, love these pictures. Thank you, Ray Lemasters for posting these. These pictures are a refreshing never before seen view of that time period. Great shot from Naz Nat. A lot going on in this picture. The Superbird in the background-sweet! Bruce Tinsley- The Charley Cigar Special. Art Lawshe- he had some rough times at that big track. Thought the Bowers car looked familiar- an old Fodor car. |
06.24.12 | Rich Reinhart | That Superbird might be owned by Larry Gower, who owned Gowers Auto Body in Bangor PA, I think he sponsored Tighe Scotts cars. or was friends with Tighe, when I last lived in that area in the mid 90`s Larry still owned that car.. |
