09.05.12 Steve Pados The maroon number 2 is a car that I built from scratch in the garage of my parent's home. The driver is my brother Bob and this has to be the maiden voyage of the car as he only drove the car once. You can tell by the slanted steering wheel as that is the way he wanted it, but I changed it back to conventional when I drove it later on.

I believe I only drove the car a couple of times until it was purchased by the Tittle Family. The frame for the car came from the late Harold Cope as it was one he didn't use and the 37 Ford Coupe came from the late Tom Hager and campaigned as a 43. The rear in the car came from Hoop Schaible and my Dad built the engine. The hood on the car is from a 57 Chevy that was at Dad's garage to be junked and we massaged it around a couple of sapling trees for the needed shape.

I believe all told there was about $2,500.00 in the entire project.

Thanks to the Lemasters for thinking enough of the car to take a pic as I never had a pic of the car when it was raced. Great memories.
