Another great Lemasters image. When you talk about a Mustang stock car, there's only one that comes to mind and that's Peppy Fernandez. That car sure was fast. I believe he won a bunch of limited-sportsman races.

The gas station in Oxford on Rt. 31 where this car was garaged is still in business today selling Delta gasoline.

I remember seeing the X9 there when my family was on our way to the Pocono Mountains (took in the races at Moc A Tek while we were there). The original sponsor was Oxford Sinclair. In the picture the Getty logo looks like a decal probably covering the Sinclair name. This past July I found and walked the Moc A Tek track which closed in May of '04. Not much left. Sad, as it was a track where many second tier racers could be competitive and have fun.
