Domination.... The combination of Stan Ploski in Ken Brenn
Sr's Trevis Coupe was something to be seen... The car looked great and
Stan really knew how to wheel it. There were many nights in 1972 and
'73 that we watched the yellow #24 take the win at both Flemington and East
Windsor... It was the best of times. The Brenn Coupes were great looking cars... The Olsen Coupe that started it all in late '71 with Stan finding victory lane instantly in the car that he claims "just really handled well... you could drive it anywhere." For 1972, the big block came out was replaced with a sportsman small block so that young Kenny Brenn Jr. could begin his rookie season. Kenny would end up winning the 1972 Rookie Championship at Flemington. For 1972 Stan drove a Floyd Trevis built coupe (there were 2 of them) and had a very successful year, coming up just short of winning the Garden State Championship. In 1973, Stan drove the coupe pictured above until very late in the season. Many fans of The Vault will never forget those days.... |
