some of the fans favorites of the day... Looks like photographer Bill
Young standing to the right of Jimmy. Jimmy has been involved with racing all his life. His father Tom was a promoter at many tracks including Flemington and the owner/promoter at others including New Egypt. Jimmy's brother Mike was a top modified drivers in the 70's and a favorite of many here in The Vault. And Jimmy ran New Egypt Speedway back in the 70's/80's and is still a strong supporter of the sport. I'm not sure who the fellow is painting shirts to Jimmy's left, but hopefully one of you guys will be able to help out. |
