Comments: Comment:  The Morrisville PA/Trenton NJ area was a hotbed for some amazing modifieds back in the late 60's and early 70's....  Just a few that come to mind are the Piscope #39, the Carberry #47, the George Taylor #93, the Fodor #13, The Wally Marks #1, the Fred Menschner #21... and that's just the tip of the iceberg.  And from what I've heard, lots of the guys involved were involved with more than just one car.  It was common for guys to visit each others shop during the week...  Maybe to lend a hand... maybe to keep an eye on what others were up to...  But it was a time when men worked their day job all day, and then found a racecar to go work on all night!

I'm hoping that you guys can help out with the names of the guys in the picture.  I do recognize Freddy Menschner, and to the right of him holding the wrenches is Tom Carberry Sr.  The fellow all the way to the right is Ralph Barone, uncle of 80's Modified driver Bob Barone.

It was a great time to be a river rat along the Delaware, and no better place to be if you wanted to work on a top dirt modified.

(Spellings)? I think that is Steve Mihalik Sr. at the far left, and possibly the late Jimmy Hartnegal 3rd from left along with Fred Menschner and Tom Carberry Sr. Not in the photo but Phil Meisner Sr. and myself, all worked at Colonial Cadillac together in Trenton around 30 years ago!

Your right Kevin, that was my dad, Steve Sr. I grew up going to the races with my family. Flemington, East Windsor, the old Trenton Speed way.. they were some of the best times of my life. There will never be another Flemington Speedway but I'm sure glad for those times we had. My father passed away last year but he always remained a diehard racing fan.. as I always will.
