This photo shows what racing was all about in the late 50s early
60s. The drivers and the cars had personalities. Hoop Schaible made racing fun
and became a legend at Flemington Fairgrounds Speedway by doing so. Thank you for this

He drove the orange #95...which stills sits in his garage in Upper Black
Eddy, Pa, just like he left it from the track, with the original mud. Hoop recently passed
to that big racetrack in the sky. But he was definitely the biggest celebrity in our
little town. |

If you were to google "hoop schaible", you would find
amongst others, a photo of his racing fuel recipe. That would make a neat
addition next to his photograph. Even if you cannot or may not use
anything from it, it's a whale of a website. |
