Comments: We weren't sure which category to put this photo in...  Technically we are told that its from Larry's Modified rookie season of 1979 where Larry won a very impressive 4 features in the Schenck - O'Shea "A" car, so maybe it belongs in the "70's Section".  But since its one of those really cool Ace Lane Jr. composites that features a good look at Larry out of the car (don't worry Larry, that's the exact same hairstyle most of us wore throughout the decade) we kinda figured it belongs in "Faces of the Vault".

Either way, it's a great photo of a great driver in one of the times most recognized cars sitting center stage at what many of us consider to be the greatest place to spend a Saturday Night.

One thing's for sure...  Larry is one of the best.

Whether in his self owned #82, the "A" pictured above, the Trenton Mack #74, the Liedl "L", the Sessely #16 or currently driving the Paul Marra #93.3 at New Egypt each Saturday Night, Larry can always be counted on to find his way to the front.

Last summer I saw an "A" car at Volusia County dirt oval running with a Vintage club from Daytona, I personally was shocked to see what to me looks exactly as I had remembered it, I don't know if it was original , restored or a repro. I do know , however , that if it were run as I remembered it to be able to , It should have lapped every other car on the track.
